Building Loyalty: One Gift at a Time
Building Loyalty: One Gift at a Time

Recently, Square & Compass Promotions sat down with 519 Culture, a Windsor based company that supports local businesses and helps people discover the unique Windsor Essex lifestyle.

519 Culture is a premium gift service, specializing in corporate and custom gifts. By using locally sourced products and services, together we strengthen our community and economy!”

In 2022 and again in 2023 Square & Compass Promotions used 519 Culture to create gift packages, which we gave to friends, family, supporters (and Brethren) during the Christmas and Holiday season!

In 2022 and again in 2023, the gift packages were (and are being) very well received! The gift packages allow us to show our appreciation to our supporters while also supporting local businesses and showcasing local products.

More importantly, the gift packages allow us to build loyalty with the community…one gift at a time!

[We are so excited to announce that 519 Culture will be taking part in two special events at the Windsor Masonic Temple, taking place January 19th and January 20th, 2024 where it will be showcasing and selling a variety of local products to the Temple’s guests!]

We have posted our partnership with 519 Culture on our social media sites, and recorded our sit-down on Clubhouse.

One of the things that we discussed during our sit-down was some of the things which a Masonic Lodge or organization should consider if/when creating gifts packages.

1-Cost

Many Masonic lodges or organizations may be wary of giving gifts due to the associated costs. However, as 519 Culture noted in our sit down, it really is the thought that counts. Even a gift as inexpensive as a candy-cane and really can make someone's day! It is possible to create memorable gifts without a memorable cost!

2-What is the purpose of the gift

What is the purpose of the gift? Is the purpose of the gift to say thank-you? Is the purpose connected to a specific holiday or celebration? Is the purpose to foster a new community relationship? The “why” of giving a gift is just as important as “what” is being given.

3-What does the recipient(s) like?

Of course, the more you know about the intended recipient(s), the better you can tailor the gift. If you are using a a third-party to create the gifts (like 519 Culture), taking a few moments to sit down with the third-party and discussing both the purpose of the gift and providing information about the recipient’s likes and interests will pay major dividends when the gift is received!

The above are three considerations that can help a masonic lodge or organization create gifts that build loyalty with its membership or the community-at-large.

All while supporting local businesses and the local economy.

As we are writing this during the holiday season, allow us to wish you:

Happy Holidays — Joyeuses fêtes

Merry Christmas — Joyeux noël

Happy New Year — Bonne année

All opinions expressed are those of Square & Compass Promotions and the guest(s) and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the Windsor Masonic Temple and/or any other Masonic group.
